As a young adult, life brings us a lot of problems or issues that we really do not know how to handle. Mainly because some of us (won't speak for all) have not experienced life enough to handle the obstacles that come along with it. Our parents do their best at attempting to keep us centered, but the truth of it all is that when we begin to experience life in the grown up world (that is what I like to call life sometimes lol) we face a lot of things that take us off track. We lose our BALANCE. Honestly, we're beginning to see what it feels like to lose our security blanket. We begin to see the world for what it is. From relationships to school to jobs to family to friends even, politics. This is the time that we not only see the truths within ourselves, but the truths about the world around us. So, how do we do we find that balance, but more importantly how do we keep it? I know its not easy, but I have a few ideas

1. Remove all the toxicity from your life. Yes, this includes people.

Toxicity and negativity comes in a lot of forms. From our own personal thoughts to the people in our circles we like to call friends. The stress we put on certain things like emotions and intentions that do not involve our own can also lead to toxic people and toxic actions. If you have to remove some people out of your life to feel whole again, then do it! Which leads me to my next idea.

2. Become comfortable with change.

With growth, comes change. We have to accept the fact that people are going to leave, we're going to lose the job that did not allow us to unlock our full potential, relationships will fail. All of these things may happen, but they will only lead to your elevation. You have to get outside of your comfort zone in order to unlock your truth and passion. Change can lead to you living your best life, but only if you allow change to happen. Finding your balance may mean that a major change needs to happen in your life.

3. Last but not least, remember that your balance is different from the next person's. Don't compare.

You never know that the next person had to go through to even get to where they are in life. Just because its taking you a while to find your balance does not mean it will never happen. You have to be patient and trust the process. The moment you start to compare yourself to the next person, you'll start being hard on yourself and forget the bigger picture of it all. We are our own worst enemy, but we are also our own best friend. We're all on our own unique journey called life, so make the most of your journey and focus on yourself. Watch everything else fall into place.

Balance is hard to find, but even harder to keep. These three tips are not meant to ensure balance but to give you a little push. Real balance comes from within. You have to have the mindset to start this journey of discovering the balance that is in you, but most importantly you have to stay consistent lovely!
